ARNO, SAM: MORE INFO

After spending many years as an art director in advertising agencies, the freedom to work in the fine arts field has been a rewarding experience for Sam Arno. His work is predominately abstract with thickly layered paint on wood. Color, form and texture add dimension and a feeling of space. He has always been fascinated by stars, galaxies, and the immensity of space. Arno has exhibited in galleries and museums in the Southern California, including the Jake Dent and Gallery Blu galleries in Palm Desert, the Century Gallery in Sylmar, the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium and Angels Gate Cultural Center in San Pedro, and the Latino Museum of History, Art and Culture in Los Angeles. His paintings are also in private collections and the National Walker Collection in Kansas.
